About Mattson Resources

The Mattson Resources team prides itself on its passion for excellence, rigorous ethical standards, and rock-solid recruiting performance. We take pride in the long-standing relationships we pursue, and satisfaction from knowing that such commitment benefits the client. Indeed, a thorough understanding of any client's culture and goals can only come from experience gained over time. The result is a partnership that works.

The recruiter is essential to the relationship. Ours possess uncommon industry experience and are intimately familiar with the unique demands of the metropolitan Orange County work environment. This ensures a clear assessment of both client needs and candidate talents, and results in placements your firm can count on—time and time again.

Mattson Resources is both a women-owned and small business enterprise. Our management team is actively involved in the National Association Personnel Services and the company subscribes to this trade organization's Standards and Ethical Practices.

Executive Management

Linda Elder, President - LinkedIn profile - Ms. Elder brings over 25 years of staffing experience to the Company and is responsible for its overall day-to-day operations and executive oversight. Prior to founding Mattson, she served as the Executive Vice President of West Coast Operations for Headway Corporate Resources. Linda's career started with Shore Resources back in 1980. Ms. Elder was the top performing recruiter for sixteen consecutive years at Shore which was purchased by Headway in 1998. Linda grew up at the shore in NJ and moved to Orange County in 1980. She now resides in Irvine with her two children Matthew and Madison.

Jamie Schwartz, Manager, Board of Managers - LinkedIn profile - Mr. Schwartz serves as a non-executive board member of Mattson Resources, responsible for the provision of strategic direction. Mr. Schwartz currently is a principal and the President & COO of Haley Stuart Group a professional staffing and executive search firm based on the east coast. Mr. Schwartz formerly served as EVP and COO of Headway Corporate Resources, a national, publicly-held staffing service. Jamie earned his BA from the University of Rochester and his MBA in Operations and Finance from that university's Simon Graduate School of Business Administration. A Board Member of NAPS and the NJSA, Mr. Schwartz holds the NAPS CPC, CTS and CERS credentials.

Principals

Lori Singer,Vice-President of Operations - LinkedIn profile - Lori is an industry specialist with almost 21 years experience. Starting her career back in 1987 with Shore Personnel who was purchased by Headway Corporate Resources, she has continually been in the elite President's Club and a top producer. Loves to meet new candidates and clients, most of her business comes from referrals because she genuinely cares about the people she works with and they know it. Claim to fame is having a knack for connecting the right person to the right company the first go around. Lori likes to spend time with family and friends, loves to travel to sunny destinations, and cruise in her free time.

Ronnie Cooper, Director of Sales - LinkedIn profile - Ronnie has been in the staffing industry for 19 years. Prior to joining Mattson Resource, she worked for a national organization for 14 years managing multiple branches and vendor on site programs. As an Assistant Vice President with Headway Corporate Resources she managed the sales team and other facets of the operation. Throughout her career she has consistently achieved numerous awards and achievements as a top sales producer, manager, and strategic partner with her clients.

Randi Carlson, Senior Account Executive - LinkedIn profile - Randi has been in the staffing and recruiting industry for 18 years. She started her career in the business right out of college and went to work for a large national staffing company. She started as an outside sales representative and after a year she was promoted to a Branch Manager. Randi grew her small branch to a profitable operation with a staff of 8 with multiple on-site staffing programs. She was a Top Producer year after year. She derived much satisfaction developing and mentoring her employees, building strong business relationships with her clients and helping people connect with amazing companies and opportunities. After 12 years with that agency, Randi joined Linda Elders very successful Team at Headway Corporate Resources. She worked at Headway for 5 years before following Linda to Mattson Resources. Today Randi is very grateful to be a Principal owner of Mattson Resources. She is motivated everyday by the amazingly talented group of professionals that are part of the Mattson organization. She looks forward to working at Mattson Resources for many years to come and growing the company into a widely recognized and respected firm.

Lynne Castro, Senior Recruiter - LinkedIn profile - Lynne Castro has over 11 years experience in the staffing industry. Lynne started her career in staffing at Shore Resources 16 years ago and had most recently spent the last 11 years at a large national staffing company. Lynne has the innate ability to find the perfect fit for both her clients and candidates. In her years as a recruiter, she quickly became a Top Producer and achieved Presidents Club Status along with many other accolades. Born and raised in Costa Mesa, Lynne still resides there with her teenage daughter. Lynne has extensive ties in the community thru her many years volunteering in her community through PTA, Pop Warner and many other affiliates.

Dana Stark, Senior Recruiter - Dana has over 16 years experience in the staffing industry. She began her career with a couple different staffing agencies before joining Shore Personnel back in 1996, which later became Headway Corporate Resources. After 11 years, she followed Linda Elder to Mattson Resources. Dana is extremely active with her 2 children, husband, and community.

Management Team

Sara Dean, Executive Administrative Assistant - Sara comes to us with over seven years of Administrative and Office management experience. She joined Mattson Resources in Spetember 2011, providing internal administrative support and tending to Mattson Resources' day-to-day office needs. She is A graduate of Auburn University wher she was an All American softball player and was a USA National Select player. 

Kristina Oakes, Administrative Assistant - Kristina has over four years of reception and administrative experience and is thrilled to be part of the Mattson Team. Kristina graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre Preformance. In addition to working at Mattson, Kristina is also pursuing a theatrical career and has performed at several theaters throughout Orange County. Kristina is truly blessed to not only be working with such wonderful people, but to be part of such a sucessful company like Mattson Resources.

Corrine Zartler Corporate Controller -

Amber Hatfield, Payroll Manager - Amber comes from a retail management background and brings over 10 years of customer service experience to Mattson Resources. She joined the staffing industry in 2007 after moving to California from Northern Virginia. In hopes to find a temporary position during the transition, she landed herself a fulltime position within a large national recruiting firm. In a short amount of time she climbed her way up to an Executive Assistant position. Here at Mattson Resources Amber holds the title of Payroll Manager, processing over 400 timecards on a weekly basis.

 Gary Spencer, Director of Marketing - LinkedIn profile - Gary has an extensive background in business and brand development. He is responsible for corporate communications, website development, social media and advertising. He has worked both the public and private sector and has worked for Mattson Resources since it's inception. He was a Marketing Management major at Oregon State University and completed additional advanced business curriculum at Cal Poly Pomona. Gary has two grown children Evan & Dayna, is engaged and lives in Irvine.

 Sales & Service Team

Eddie Villalpando, Senior Recruiter, Skilled Labor- LinkedIn profile - Eddie has been in the Recruiting industry for 12 years, making placements from Executives to Skilled Labor. Eddie is committed in his role as Account Executive to learn as much about his clients as possible to ensure that Mattson Resources meets the needs of its clients. Eddie enjoys building relationships with new and existing clients. During his career, Eddie has experience with recruiting, and sales. This experience has provided Eddie with the confidence, knowledge, and skills to help ensure his success. Eddie is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Brad Thompson, Senior Recruiter Engineering IT - LinkedIn profile - Brad was raised between British Columbia, Canada and the San Joaquin Valley, CA. He has over 10 years in recruiting, with niches in the science and engineering fields - the emphasis being pharmaceutical, medical and orthopedic device companies - and the environmental industry. Brad's experience is both national and international. Brad background includes roles as Sr. Recruiter/Account Executive, "Team Lead/Trainer." Brad has won key club awards such as Presidents Club. Brad's spare time is spent between his 6 year old daughter, and prison ministry in several institutions between California and North Carolina. Shon Wilson, Director of Technology & Engineering - LinkedIn profile - Shon has over 13 years of staffing experience with 10+ years in a hands-on management capacity. Prior to joining Mattson Resources, Shon individually billed over $1.4 million dollars in gross margin for a Fortune 500 company, providing companies with Accounting & Finance, Technology, and Administrative staffing solutions. After graduating from California State University of Fullerton with a degree in Finance, he played 3 seasons of professional baseball. Shon is married with a son and lives in Corona, California.

 Chris Bobadilla, Senior Recruiter in IT/Engineering - Chris has over 10 years experience in the staffing industry with the last 6 years primarily recruiting engineers. Chris has a bachelor degree in CIS and started his career as a recruiter with a global staffing company and has worked at customer on-sites with over 200+ employees staffed at one location. He believes that building quality relationships with both the client and candidate are mandatory to find the right person for the job the first time.

Stacy (Kennedy) Viloria, Administrative- Recruiter - LinkedIn profile - Stacy comes to Mattson with over 10 years of sales experience. Most recently, Stacy worked in the SAP staffing arena for RJT Compuquest. She received her Bachelor of Arts from UC San Diego and her career path started as a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual. Stacy absolutely loves working with people and says there is no better feeling then helping people achieve their goals. An Orange County native, Stacy is married and lives on the Newport Beach Peninsula.

Natalie Zaragoza, Senior Recruiter, Skilled Labor - Natalie has over 16 years in the staffing industry. The majority of her successful experience has been with a regional staffing firm based out of O.C. specializing in clerical and industrial. She recently joined the Mattson team in September 2010 to focus in skilled industrial recruiting. Natalie has been successful building great report with candidates and clients throughout her career. She is also fluent in both English and Spanish which has expanded her ability in recruiting.

Greg Athans, Senior Recruiter - LinkedIn profile - Greg has over 10 years experience in staffing, and executive recruitment. Since returning from Marquette University where he received a Bachelors of Science degree, he began his career with a regional staffing firm in the engineering and healthcare industries helping both Fortune 100 and small size firms with their employment needs. Greg believes in building a close friendship with both candidates and clients alike, and strives to maintain that high level of integrity and trust which has helped him to be successful so far.

Lesley Peterson, Recruiter Administrative - Lesley joined Mattson in 2011. Her background consists of over 10 years experience in the administrative and human resources functions; including Executive Assistant to the CEO of a public pharmaceutical company, where she received several awards for her achievements. Lesley resides in Orange County with her family. Lesley and her husband are enjoying being new parents, but still like to travel when they can. She enjoys meeting new people and her desire is to assist others in finding their next career.

Nicole Rogers Recruiter, AdministrativeNicole has a background in sales and recruiting for fortune 300 companies and has a proven track record of success in placing top tier candidates and developing long lasting relationships with her clients. With a degree in Psychology and Social behavior from UCI, Nicole is able to connect with those on a personal level and is passionate about helping others achieve their business and career goals. She has a large social network in Orange County and enjoys giving back to her community both professionally and personally.

Brian Ward, Senior Recruiter, Healthcare - Brian has been successful Branch Manager and Executive Recruiter for the last for the last 12 years. He has worked with some of the top Healthcare companies nationwide and has a great track record of longevity with each placement.  His experiences include clients in Nursing Homes, Home Health, Assisted Living and Hospice. Brian has seen how the Mattson way can better his clients helping them to find individuals who can make a difference. He enjoys sports, running and playing board games.

Erin Hill, Recruiter, Accounting and Finance - Erin has a successful background in sales and recruiting, connecting quality candidates with distinguished companies. Her experience has been placing candidates in administrative and customer support, sales, marketing, management, and accounting and finance. Recruiting is a very personal experience to her; it makes a direct impact on peoples lives. Not only is she helping an individual improve their personal life but also helping a company improve their productivity. The ultimate goal is to leave both of them much better off than before she helped make the connection.

Steve Izabal, Senior Recruiter, Accounting & Finance - Steve has 11 years of recruitment experience in Biotech, Medical Devices and Accounting & Finance. Steve is a recruiter that believes in putting the candidate and client 1st, not his pocket book. No high pressure tactics here. "I bring people together, if it is the right fit the rest falls into place." He believes in finding the right people and only working with good companies.
